Team Updates and Season Opener Results

Hello Swim Families - 

 

Great job to all who swam in the meet! I am sorry I was not personally able to attend due to illness, but I watched all the race times come in on MeetMobile and am proud of all your hard work!

 

  • Meet Results are uploaded into TeamUnify and you can see them under your TeamUnify/OnDeck account. 

  • The pdf of the meet results are linked under meet announcement -  you will have to look under past events.

  • Meet fees will be billed to your account this week and will be auto drawn on Oct 28 from the card on file, along with the next installment of your team fee (if you chose that option). 

  • If you took pictures at the meet of your swimmer or any other parts of the meet, please send them to me!

No practice: October 4th and 5th (Swim meet in Bridgeport). This includes homeschool. Also no practice October 31st and November 1st/2nd.

 

Opt-in has closed for next weekend's Bridgeport meet. Look ahead and opt-in for the next few meets.

 

Practice Entrance and sign in:

  • Enter past the lobby middle desk don’t forget to sign in. 

  • All swimmers and families should use the family lockers to enter the pool deck. 

  • We have been asked not to use the back door for entering or exiting the upper deck - even to use the restroom or relax in the hallway. 

  • Please take a minute to clean up the upper deck after watching practice - look for crumbs, trash, spills, and place the chairs back on the lower deck or tucked under tables.

 

Survey for State Championship Awards: 

  • Calling all 13 and Over swimmers: below is a link to a short survey for WV 13 & over swimmers to complete regarding their feelings on receiving medals at state meets.  Due by October 6th.

Calling all volunteers! 

  • We have a few needs to help our team - volunteer points earned for all of the following:

    • Purchase and write/coordinate the writing of thank you cards for the meet (I will give you a list! Lifeguards, sponsors, Wellness Staff, and FAST etc.)

    • Help organizing and distributing team t-shirts and caps when they arrive. 

    • Anyone really good at Quickbooks?

    • Create the monthly/weekly Pelican Post

    • Keep the Pelican Perch (the announcement boards in the pool area)

tidy and updated with current events and pertinent information
