VSTP Meet Results and Practice this Week

Erica Wheatley

Hello Swim Families -

What a great meet we had this weekend in Warrenton with some fast swimmers from around Virginia and the DC area. We saw at least FIVE first places from our team, a lot of swimmers in the 13+ finals heats, about 3.5 million PRs (roughly estimating) .... and earned way too many squeaky rubber duckies by finishing first in our heats!

VSTP Meet Results: The results are uploaded to our system and the pdf is posted on the Meets and Events page under the VSTP Icebreaker meet (you will have to look under "Past & Achived").

Practice Schedule: If you swam in the meet this weekend, make sure you fuel up tomorrow and don't miss your recovery day practices.

Over the next two weeks, we are fine tuning some basic techniques and building endurance up before the break. Do your best to attend every practice so you get the technique work and build to the break.

Upcoming Meets: Take a minute and Opt-in to the next few meets before the deadlines - we have the Fox Long Course meet the beginning of January for our older/intermediate to advanced swimmers, and the Winter Classic HOME distance and IMR races for ALL 14 and unders, then the Emperor Penguin beginning of February for 9 and up (though mostly we recommend our 13 and up group hit this one).  And, while you are at it, go a head and let us know if you can make it to the President's Day Invite in Cumberland!

Thank you, parents and families, for all the support you give your swimmers and the team. We have had a great season so far!
