What to Wear to Team Pictures and Billing Reminders
Hello Team -
Last minute reminder that we have.... team pictures tonight!
We need everyone to be there!! Besides that it is fun to get individual pictures, or for kids to have a team picture as a memory of their friends, we need to show our awesome group for sponsorship and public relations purposes. We want the picture to reflect the awesomeness that our team is.
ARRIVE: 6 pm for individuals (or small/family groups), 6:30 for full team picture
WEAR: Your team competition suit! Alternatively, any dark color suit. You can do your hair and makeup cute. :)
OTHER NOTES: There is still practice tonight. If you are a T/Th practice group swimmer, have your gear ready at the end of your lane to hop in as soon as pictures are over.
Additional Reminders and Updates:
Announcing Copper group practices starting NEXT WEEK!
If you have kids who are just shy of making the Bronze team, then Copper is here for you!
- Available to register now on myshepherdwellness.com.
- Mondays and Wednesdays 5-6 pm.
The Copper Pre-Team program works through the Red Cross Learn to Swim Levels 4-5 with an emphasis on swim team readiness. This program functions as an introduction to swim team and also serves as competitive team evaluations/tryouts.
- Requirements: Safely jump into deep water and swim back to the wall, and can handle themselves safely in a group learning environment.
Swim Meets, Activities, Fundraisers, and Billing:
We have a busy week of running concessions for the HS meet Saturday night and then our Winter Classic Home Meet on Saturday! A few notes and updates:
- If you are swimming in the Winter Classic, make sure you read through the Meet Info email Coach Tim sent out this morning.
- Go sign up for a volunteer slot - every swimmer in the meet is expected to have a family member/friend working a job. If you do not see one that works for your family, please email me to figure out an alternative.
- HS Concessions Saturday, January 25th 7 pm
- We need ALL families (conditioning and competitive tracks) to help with a concession slot this weekend or on February 1st.
- We are working to earn money for backstroke ledges!
- Sign ups for this will be available at the picture time tonight, or you can email me if you can make it. Bring your swimmer to watch and support the High School swimmers, or send your HS Swimmer who is not participating in that meet. Stay for an hour or two or the whole thing!
- We have a lot of fundraisers and team activities planned in the next few months. Please help your swimmer participate in as much as possible!
- I will try to get these posted on the Meet & Events tab asap. There you can RSVP and sign up to bring potluck items or help set up etc.
- See attached for a few upcoming activities and the Fundraiser Challenge.
- Regarding Canceled Practices, Season Schedule, and Important Dates:
- We made a new tab on epscswim.com under Fall/Winter titled 2024-2025 Important Dates. You can find updated schedules there or announcements about cancelled practices.
- All update and informational emails we send out are always posted under News on epscswim.com. Easier than searching back through your inbox!

- Installment 4 Practice Fees are due to the Wellness Center by Monday, January 28th. Please register for that online at myshepherdwellnesscenter.com, over the phone, or at the front desk.
- Team Fee Installment 3 will withdraw on Monday, January 28th. (It was originally due December 28th, but we pushed it back due to the holidays).
