Practices, Parties, and Meeting Dates
Happy February, Pelican families!
The groundhog may have seen his shadow, but our swimmers always stay toasty warm in the Wellness Center, so we don't mind! We are heading towards the end of the USA Short Course Season - please read below for informaton on practice schedules, Championship Meet Opt-ins, and some Fundraiser Challenge reminders.
Also, some really fantastic swims this past weekend by the Eastern Panhandle Pelicans! Our team brought home many Pentathalon Awards (maybe seven?!?!). We will try and post on Facebook this week so we can all celebrate.
Practice this Week
We WILL have practice this Friday at the regularly scheduled group times. It was not originally on the calendar because we had it open as a meet placeholder in case there was a meet scheduled that weekend.
No Practice for all groups Friday, February 14th (many swimmers and coaches will be at a meet).
There IS EVENING PRACTICE on Monday, February 17th, President's Day. There will NOT be Homeschool Practice that day.

End-of-Season Party and Team Activities
- We are moving out End-of-Season Party to March 1st at Galaxy Skateland - swim families and coaches needed a break between seasons! This will be a fun night of skating, chatting, celebrating our successes, and recognizing our senior swimmers. Attend the Volunteer Committee Meeting (see below) to help plan and sign up to bring a pot-luck dish.
- Pelicanas in Pajamas - High School and Middle School Girls and their mom/favorite female adult are invited to join us for a brunch on the morning of March 8th. We will have games, breakout classes, and knowledgable guest speakers on topics such as nutrition.
- Remember - all activities are for both competitive and conditioning participants
EPSC Volunteer Committee Meeting
Help us finish out the season strong with Team Party and State Championship planning. Please send a member of each household to attend one of the following meetings - in-person is prefered, but Online option available by visting the Sponsor and Volunteer Meetings Page.
AND/OR
We meet at the Shepherd University Wellness Center Conference Room. Swimmers' parents or guardians, committee members, and all EPSC volunteers are always welcome to attend.
WV State Championships
To have the chance to get an EPSC WV State Championship shirt and maybe a cap (!), please opt-in for State Championships by THIS FRIDAY, February 7th.
- Please indicate in the "Notes" section of which days you plan on attending.
