6 Days Until Party Time! 

EPSC 2024-2025 Season Team Party

Yay, it’s our season party this Saturday afternoon at Galaxy Skateland! We have some fun decorations planned, treats for the kids, and good times overall. It’s always good to see the kids visit with each other outside of the pool and meet teammates from other practice groups.

 

HELP NEEDED! Please go into the Volunteer Jobs on the event page and sign up to bring a dish, help with decorations and clean up/set up. Currently we have one person signed up each for a main dish, fruit bowl, and side dish. Jordan Camerena has some fun and easy decorations planned but will need a few people to coordinate with. 

 

Pelicanas in Pajamas - and Event for Female Athletes

 

In response to swimmer and family input, we have also organized a gathering for just Middle School and High School girls to allow for an open forum related specifically to our female athletes. Pelicanas in Pajamas on March 8th will include breakfast, games, and rotations in a home setting with the following professionals excited to lead discussions and answer questions:

 

  • Deneil Busey, Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in helping children and adolescents work through social and emotional struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
  • Chrissy Van Hilst, Family Nurse Practitioner focused on Metabolic Health with a passion to help people understand how their lifestyle affects their health and educate them about food, movement, sleep and stress management. 
  • Christa Mastrangelo Joyce, Certified Yoga Instructor with a strong understanding of anatomy, especially regarding the nervous system and incorporates her knowledge of breath work, meditation, and Yoga philosophy in her teachings.

 

This event is for the middle/high school girls AND their mom’s/female guardians. Please also opt-in for that event and sign up to bring a dish to share. 

 

We have had a great season so far, and are looking forward to finishing out strong with both out-of-pool activities and WV Short Course Championships!!!
